Tattoo removal with Picosure is 3X faster than any other tattoo removal technology. It delivers ultra-short pulses of thermal energy in a picosecond to heat up and break apart tattoo inks that are easily eliminated by the body.
Unlike other tattoo removal systems, the Picosure is acoustic NOT thermal so it doesn’t heat the area being treated. It will mechanically explode the pigmented cells and your body will naturally repair the injured cells. The technology can remove all tattoo ink colours and is most effective with dark-coloured tattoos. It will also require less sessions compared to other tattoo removal machines on the market.
At Laser Advantage we will be cooling the area with a special machine (the Zimmer). Pronox will also be available if needed but most report it’s more tolerable than actually getting the tattoo in the first place.
Every skin type is different and every tattoo is unique with ink colours, depths and volumes. Everyone is different so it is difficult to say exactly how many sessions are required. Generally it will take 6-9 sessions, but we can access the tattoo with a free consultation to let you know how many sessions it may require.
An improved skin appearance can be noted after the first session. Multiple sessions provide best results. Treatment regime depends on the severity of skin damage, skin type, type of treatment (vascular vs sun damage) and energy settings.
